Cine Latino covers, well, all things relating to Latino culture and the movies, every Friday.
Cuban-Guatemalan actor Oscar Isaac returns to the big screen in Madonna’s second directorial film project W.E. The two-tiered romantic drama focuses on the affair between King Edward VIII and American divorcée Wallis Simpson and a contemporary romance between a married woman and a Russian security guard.
Isaac had to learn how to play the piano for the film. Here’s his two cents on the film and working with Madonna.
“I had to learn to play the piano. Evgeni is supposed to be a concert pianist and there were these three very complicated Yann Tiersen pieces, so I spent about a month and a half working with piano teachers and learning how to play. I actually get to...

Fri, 03 Feb 2012 23:45:00 GMT
In support of the upcoming Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Warner Bros. has created this little behind-the-scenes video of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recording his version of "It's A Wonderful World" for what looks to be a campfire scene in the film. Johnson not only sings a sweet tune, but he also plays his own ukulele while doing it, proving he can do more than be a badass.
Journey 2: The Mysterious Island hits theaters February 10th.
Synopsis: In this follow-up to the 2008 worldwide hit "Journey to the Center of the Earth," the new 3D family adventure "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" begins when young Sean Anderson (Josh Hutcherson, reprising his role from the first film) receives a coded distress signal from a...
